The European robotics sector’s three highly-respected symbols of recognition will once again be conferred on talented individuals and teams whose work is at the pinnacle of achievement.
The Georges Giralt PhD Award is open for nominations. The Award’s aim is to showcase PhD theses defended during 2022 at European universities from all areas of robotics. Outstanding theses with strong theoretical contributions, a focus on professional applications or technology transfer, with a high degree of multidisciplinarity, or showing how robotics technologies can be applied to new domains, are all eligible for the prize.
The award consists of a plaque and the publication of the thesis by Springer in the STAR series. It will be presented to the winner(s) at the euRobotics Awards ceremony during next year’s European Robotics Forum to be held on the 14th-16th March 2023 in Odense, Denmark. Submissions are made by sending an email to the George Giralt Award Committee via phd.award@eu-robotics.net after completing the submission form.
Meanwhile, the convenors of the euRobotics Entrepreneurship Award are getting ready to launch the latest call for entries. The chance to claim the hotly-contested title of Europe’s best robotic startup will be available again for talented robotics entrepreneurs soon. Look out for more about this in the next newsletter.
