European Robotics Week (ERW) will be celebrated in schools, labs and other venues across Europe as always. ERW National Coordinators have been working hard to create events to engage young people and non-specialist audiences with an interest in robotics. Erol Sahin, Director, METU-ROMER and ERW National Coordinator in Turkey, is organizing a Pan-European Virtual Robot Tournament as part of ERW this year. Inevitably ERW 2022 takes place under the long shadow of Covid-19. This year’s Central Event will take the form of a simple hybrid opening ceremony in Hannover, Germany, with a keynote address and panel discussion on Thursday 17th November, followed the next day by an event to showcase the work of the Roberta initiative in Hannover. The opening event is scheduled to take place in the Lichthof, the airy and impressive atrium at Leibniz University Hannover before a locally-invited audience.
The event will be presented by robospace GmbH as sponsor of the Roberta RegioZentrum in cooperation with the roboterfabrik of Leibniz Universität Hannover, together with euRobotics.
