This year’s Adra Forum (ADRF) will take place on 13-14 October in Porto and euRobotics will be playing its part. On day 1, euRobotics director Rich Walker (Shadow Robot) will take part in a workshop on the theme ‘Apply AI in Robotics and Manufacturing’. Antidio Viguria (CATEC) will expand on physical AI for aerial power-line inspection and intervention. Still on the first day, Sharath Chandra Akkaladevi (PROFACTOR, TG Sustainability) is the contact for a workshop focused on ‘translating human task intentions into reliable multi-robot work: understanding what must be done, allocating tasks between people and robots, executing safely, and recovering when sensing, objects or actions are uncertain.’ Marco Rosa (PAL) will join euRobotics President Francesco Ferro and other speakers in a workshop that will consider ‘From Lab to Industry: Scaling Highly Autonomous Robots Under Regulatory Uncertainty’.

Antonio Viguria will be back on day 2 along with Aksel Transeth (SINTEF) and others to discuss physical AI as the decisive enabler of field robotics, where robots operate autonomously in the unstructured environments of energy, infrastructure, defence and agriculture. Francoise Siepel (University of Twente) will lead a roadmapping workshop for AI, Data and Robotics for resilient healthcare (Designing the Hospital of the Future). The overall themes of this year’s ADRF are resilience, strategic autonomy, and the real-world convergence of AI, Data, and Robotics. Visit adrforum.eu for further details.
