IEEE’s International Conference on robotics and automation (ICRA) will take place in Vienna at the start of June next year. Demand for exhibition space will be high and for some of our smaller members with lower turnovers than the larger corporates, so are the costs. That’s why euRobotics is considering the idea of taking an exhibition booth with the chance for some of our members to share the space. Project officer Inge Rehorst explains: “Being an exhibitor at the largest events requires a big outlay of cost and time for some of our members, especially one that runs for five days. Our idea is to take a booth and share the cost with a couple of members, so that they can benefit from a reduced exhibitor package fee overall. Between the euRobotics team and the people who would represent our members taking part, we could maintain a presence on the booth throughout the event. If this appeals to any of our members reading this – and I hope it does! – or they simply want to know more about how it would work in practice, they can contact me via inge.rehorst@eu-robotics.net.”
