
Tallinn was also the setting for two distinct but significant announcements. The first was the news, shared with members earlier in December, that Bernd Liepert had decided to stand down as President of euRobotics and that the Board had warmly endorsed the nomination of Francesco Ferro to succeed him. Members will be invited to ratify this change during the General Assembly in Stavanger.

The second announcement was that Bucharest would be the setting for next year’s Focus Event for European Robotics Week. Next year’s host Ana-Maria Stancu was in Tallinn to receive the virtual ‘baton’ from Tallinn host Nathan Metsala.
