Progetto Caresses. A dicembre 2018 inizio della sperimentazione.
CARESSES (short for Culture-Aware Robots and Environmental Sensor Systems for Elderly Support) is a multidisciplinary, international project whose goal is to design the first care robots that adapt the way they behave and speak to the culture of the person they assist.
CARESSES is funded by the European Union and by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan.
October – December 2018 – Development of an advanced system that allows the robots to recognize the older
persons’ habits and adapt its knowledge base to their individual preferences. Definition of the
CARESSES experimental protocol for the care home volunteers in the UK (Advinia Health Care) and
Japan (HISUISUI)
Caresses ed è il progetto multidisciplinare, coordinato da Antonio Sgorbissa dell’Università di Genova (dipartimento di Informatica, Bioingegneria, Robotica e Ingegneria dei Sistemi), che coinvolge sei partner europei e tre giapponesi, con l’obiettivo di sviluppare il primo robot di assistenza agli anziani in grado di adattarsi alla cultura della persona.
A partire da dicembre 2018 inizierà la fase di sperimentazione nelle case di cura di Advinia HealthCare (Regno Unito) e Hisuisui (Giappone).
