A workshop devoted to the euRobotics Diversity & Inclusion initiative at ERF in Stavanger attracted around 20 participants. In keeping with the theme ‘From Awareness to Action: Co-Creating the euRobotics Diversity Initiative’, the group reflected a range of backgrounds and perspectives. “It was a very nice and diverse group,” said co-organiser Inge Rehorst.
In what became a lively and participative set of table discussions, the workshop considered three key questions:
- Where are the biggest barriers to diversity in robotics today?
- Which areas should euRobotics prioritise?
- What practical actions could euRobotics take?
The substance of the discussion was well-captured and is available – see Read More below. The Initiative continues and contributors are welcome to join via euRobotics Diversity and Inclusion Initiative on the Community Platform. Meanwhile the Initiative’s founding group will consider the next steps to take based on the workshop’s findings.
