While the current focus is on delivering ERF 2023, euRobotics is also looking ahead. The hosts for 2024 will be announced at this year’s ERF in Odense, Denmark, Meanwhile, the association has just announced a Call for Hosting ERF in 2025. The Call is detailed and the requirements are clearly set out in the Call documentation. Deadline for submissions is Friday 26th May this year. Find the Call for Hosting ERF 2025 here

For the Call to host the European Robotics Forum 2025, euRobotics has designed a sustainable format that combines an online (hybrid / virtual) and physical ERF. The European Robotics Forum is usually in-person. Due to the Covid pandemic we held ERF 2021 online, because national restrictions didn’t allow people to travel internationally, and large group gatherings and physical contact was not possible. The online ERF2021 was a great success with over 850 participants (euRobotics members and non-members) from all corners of Europe. Since ERF2021, a sustainable ERF format that combines online and a physical forum has been a recurring topic within the association and in communication with local hosts. With these factors clearly in mind, euRobotics has decided to change to a hybrid format from 2025 onwards.

A hybrid ERF would allow members of our community to meet in person if they desire that human connection and experience.  A hybrid Forum also offers the flexibility to take part in ERF virtually to those who are unable to attend in person due to health concerns or travel constraints. A hybrid forum also allows euRobotics and local hosts to increase the total audience reach and enable our community to grow.
