UK-based euRobotics member The Manufacturing & Technology Centre (MTC) delivered its latest Robotics and Automation 2026 event in June. Keynote guest speaker Richard Parker, the Mayor of the West Midlands region gave a brief opening address to a full auditorium on MTC’s showcase premises before being whisked away across the MTC campus to perform another opening, this time to launch MTC’s new Robotics Experience Centre (REC). The REC will enable manufacturers to explore, test and validate robotics solutions before making investment decisions. By providing this extensive ‘seeing is believing’ facility, MTC aims to help UK manufacturers accelerate the adoption of robotics and automation technologies. Meanwhile, the Robotics and Automation Event 2026 delivered a packed programme of short, punchy presentations and panel discussions to several hundred delegates over the two days, together with a completely sold-out exhibition which took over two floors of the MTC events building.
