and takes the chance to catch up with some of our members in Spain
The European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (euspen) links industrialists, researchers, respected authorities and both new and established players within the precision engineering and nanotechnology arena worldwide.
Based in the UK, euspen provides an entrepreneurial platform enabling companies and research institutes to promote their latest technology developments, products and services and keep up to date with those in the field. Inge Rehorst, project officer at euRobotics has been developing links with euspen and she took part in the Society’s 25thinternational conference in Zaragoza, Spain in June. Inge gave this summary of what she saw and heard:
“Last month euRobotics returned to Zaragoza, Spain to visit the Official euspen conference and celebrate their 25th anniversary. A big ‘Thank you’ to Dishi Phillips, Andreas Archenti, Liam Blunt and José A. Yagüe Fabra for the kind invitation and the possibility to connect with their network. We are looking forward to continuing our discussions on how to further our connections.”
Making good use of her time in Spain, travelling back via Barcelona gave Inge a chance to catch up with some of our members. euRobotics aisbl Board of Directors member Daniel Serrano and euRobotics Topic Group Coordinator Carlos Rizzo welcomed her to the Eurecat – Technology Centre. Inge said: “It was a great opportunity to learn more about the many fields and sectors Eurecat is active in, meet many of the Eurecat colleagues who support our association and discuss a wide range of topics and ideas we will definitely follow up on!”
After previous face-to-face meetings in Madrid and at ERF in Stuttgart, Inge was also able to virtually catch up with AER Automation (The Spanish Association of Robotics and Automation) during the visit to Eurecat.
It was a pleasure to talk to Alfonso Muñoz Bisié – let’s schedule a follow up call soon!
As if this wasn’t already productivity enough, Inge also found time to speak to new member organisation BitMetrics who joined euRobotics in January this year, and has already become an active member within the euRobotics community. As Bitmetrics CEO Mar Masulli explained: “At Bitmetrics we aim to lead through technological innovation. By joining euRobotics we can enhance our European network, paving the way for expansive collaboration with top professionals in academia and companies and together make significant contributions for the prosperity of the European robotics community.” Inge certainly liked the sound of that. As she said in response: “A great quote to end this inspiring trip!”
