With the announcement that ERF 2027 will take place in Birmingham, UK, it will interest a lot of euRobotics members to know that one of the prime movers behind the successful Birmingham bid, the MTC, will hold its own automation and robotics conference next month. The MTC – the Manufacturing & Technology Centre – is based in impressive modern premises in a technology park on the outskirts of Coventry, virtually in the heart of England. Over two days 17-18 June, and under the title ‘Robotics and automation – powering your future’ the event will explore three themes: the journey to automation, the future of work and ‘bridging the valley of death’ which will focus on how innovative technologies are addressing key industry challenges, from productivity and labour shortages to net zero and energy transition. The association will be well represented at the MTC event, notably via a keynote address presented by euRobotics President Bernd Liepert.
