This year’s General Assembly (GA) took place in Stuttgart in its traditional slot on the eve of the opening of the European Robotics Forum. However, this year’s GA took a welcome new turn. More time was allowed for debate and discussion, and less time was taken up by reporting facts and figures, although there were still enough of those to satisfy the needs of our members. During an Interactive session, small groups of GA participants discussed a set of pre-established questions. This extra time for discussion was made possible thanks to the production of first euRobotics annual report, which was made available to members earlier in March (see also feedback about the annual report).
In this way, sharing so much information with members ahead of the GA allowed them to read and absorb the details of the Association’s performance and progress in their own time. Consequently, participants at the GA were able to make valuable use of this largest annual gathering of members. The opportunity to spend more time in discussion was clearly appreciated, according to feedback on the day. A summary of the GA’s business and results including elections for the Board of Directors, can be found in the Minutes of the 2025 euRobotics General Assembly .
