The Brussels Bluepoint building – home of euRobotics since the association was founded – has been sold to IHECS (Institut des Hautes Études des Communications Sociales), a higher education institution. IHECS is set to take occupancy of the building in 2025 and plans to carry out sustainable renovations on the site. Meanwhile euRobotics and Bluepoint’s other tenants are secure in their offices until the end of this year. This gives the euRobotics team time to explore alternative options. These include: finding new premises for euRobotics alone; entering into an arrangement with other associations to share space, or to move to a purely virtual operation, renting co-working space or meeting rooms on occasions when euRobotics team members need to be in Brussels. At this early stage, no single option is favoured over another, and none has been ruled out so far. A decision will be taken once a preferred solution is identified.
