The official launch of European Robotics Week has been moved by one week. It will now take place in Hannover, Germany on Tue-Wed 21-22 November.
Secretary-general Reinhard Lafrenz explained the decision to move the date. “With the impact on transport and accommodation of a major fair in Hannover on our original dates, we took the decision to move our planned events to the following week. Accommodation and transport were already more or less fully booked and extremely expensive for those original dates. Therefore, after checking with the local ERW organisers, we decided to shift.”
The joint TG/BoD meeting will now take place on 21 November in Hannover. The official opening of the ERW Central Event will be held the following day (22 November) in the afternoon.
Full details of the event programme including venues will be given soon. The October newsletter will provide further information about the Central Event and news of ERW activities planned by national coordinators around Europe.
